Bari Salad Jars

BLT Salad Jar

All of the below recipes are placed in the jar as follows:

Put the dressing, chicken, if any, tomatoes, eggs, cheese, cucumbers (if any) bacon (if any), and lettuce.

BLT Jar Salad

  • 1 cup of Lettuce – Romaine and/or Iceberg
  • 1 Boiled Egg, sliced
  • 1/4 cup of Tomatoes, halved
  • 2 strips of Crispy Turkey Bacon
  • 1 Teaspoon of Scallions
  • 1/4 cup of Croutons
  • Low fat ranch dressing such as Hidden Valley, original ranch dressing light

 

Cobb Salad Jar

  • 1 cup of Lettuce – Romaine or Iceberg
  • 4 ounces of Cooked Chicken Breast
  • 10 Quartered Grape Tomatoes
  •  2 Strips of Turkey Bacon
  • 1/2 small Avocado
  • 1 Boiled Egg

Dressing

  • 1/2 cup Low-fat Plain Yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon 2% Milk
  • 1/4 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • Pinch of cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 cup crumbled Bleu Cheese
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of Bleu Cheese

Greek Salad Jar

  • 1 cup of Romaine Lettuce
  • 4 ounces of Rotisserie Chicken
  • 3/4 cup of Feta Cheese, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup of Pitted Greek Olives, sliced
  • 1/4 cup of Sliced Cucumbers
  • 1/4 cup of Cherry Tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup of Greek salad dressing

For the vinaigrette:

  • 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
  • 1/2 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons olive oil
    Salt and pepper
